Victoria

wait to welcome you into this incredible community that embodies patience and resilience through movement!

My pole journey began in 2020 at RISE Barre where I instantly became obsessed with this sport and craft. An extensive background in ballet as significantly contributed to my training but undeniably came with destructive baggage. Pole has been a rebirth and homecoming for my mind, body, and spirt. I have trained in cities throughout the U.S. and have been teaching at NMPA for over two years.

I love how pole combines strength and flexibility with so much room for creativity and self-expression. I firmly believe that anyone can benefit from pole dancing to develop confidence, trust, and sexuality. I look forward to helping my students discover new relationships with themselves through this unique art form!

Maddalena

Im Maddalena the owner of project pole dance. obsessed with pole I created this community to make space for pole magic in durango. Pole has given me so much empowerment and strength in my body and in my heart. I have formal training as a contortion teacher with alixa FLEXIBILITY and have a particular passion in empowering each body through curiosity and the ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of INDIVIDUALITY to reach their goals. I’m currently under the mentorship of Elizabeth Blanchard one of the most amazing pole mechanics teachers of our time. i’m so honard to bring pole camp to the 4 corners.

Brett

Brett was introduced to the Ashtanga yoga system in 2016 and it kick started her over 15 year practice into a more committed devotion to the full array of yogic practices. Her first 200-hour Embrace, Embody, Empower teacher training in 2017 taught her there was still so much to learn.  After an Ashtanga Inspired 200hr teacher training in 2023 with her teachers K-Lea Gifford and Sarah Klein, she finally felt confident to jump into a teaching role.
Brett has just returned from a trip to Mysore, India where she completed a 200hr teacher training and Yoga Immersion with Andrew Eppler.
It was a truly authentic and eye opening opportunity for her to study with some great teachers and learn from scholars steeped in the yogic traditions.

Take your Bird of Paradise training beyond the standard inside leg hang entry in this advanced tricks workshop. Macie will share several of her signature Bird of Paradise pathways, including dynamic entries and spin transitions from shapes such as ballerina, meathook, and tick-tock.

No Bird of Paradise yet? No problem. Many of the transitions and concepts can be adapted to outside leg hang variations, making this workshop valuable for dancers who are still building toward a full Bird of Paradise or those who want new spin transitions and sequences to explore. The class will also explore several flowing sequences that can be performed on either static or spin.

Emphasis is placed on progressive skill development, safe training practices, and understanding the mechanics behind each movement so you can continue refining and expanding these skills long after the workshop ends.

Whether you're brand new to pole or still building confidence with foundational skills like climbing and jasmine, this workshop is designed to strengthen the fundamentals that support every stage of your pole journey.

Macie breaks down essential beginner techniques - such as the walk, dip turn, fan kick, jasmine, and climbing - with detailed cueing and technical instruction to help you understand not just what to do, but why it works. These foundational movements are the building blocks for more advanced tricks, transitions, and choreography, making strong technique essential for long-term progress.

The workshop will also cover climbing drills, climbing variations, and ways to connect foundational skills into smooth, seamless movement around the pole. Expect a supportive learning environment focused on body awareness, efficiency, and creating good habits from the start.
